Couples/Partners Therapy

An attuned, trauma-informed space just for your relationship. Where you can deepen intimacy, heal, restore connection, unlearn unhealthy dynamics, and experience your relational truth.

The energy between you and your beloved just feels off…

Maybe it has been off for a while. Or maybe it’s a result of a recent event or argument.

Perhaps you notice distance between you/your beloved but are unsure of how to make your way back to each other.

Deep meaningful connections feel like moments of the past while your present is colored with disconnection, conflict, and dissatisfaction.

There’s been a betrayal of trust that you simply don’t know how to move past (or wonder if you even can).

What begins as a conversation about one thing turns into a BIG argument about THE thing. every. damn. time.

Maybe you feel stuck in a cycle of disconnection and rupture, unable to access intimacy and repair.

Needs have gone unmet (yes, we all have them), boundaries overstepped and the pain and resentment continues to build.

Maybe you’re unpartnered or dating and looking to learn skills to build healthy relationships.

When reflecting on your past + communities + lives, you notice more break-ups, separations, and divorces than healthy, strong, loving relationships that have lasted.

Perhaps, you’re determined to disrupt repeated dynamics of your upbringing but are unsure of how to co-create your own blueprint.

There’s an absence of honest and respectful communication in your relationship.

It feels as though you’re constantly walking on eggshells, so you communicate less about important things.

Sure, you’re together but you feel unseen, lonely, or insecure in your relationship.

Conflict remains unresolved.

Perhaps you notice that you/your partner seems checked out of the relationship.

Perhaps you’re seeking a supportive space to cultivate growth & understanding…

You seek a skilled couples therapist to help you get unstuck…

Perhaps you notice that it’s a challenge for you/your beloved to express feelings, needs, desires.

Somewhere along the line ‘I’ merged into ‘we’ - and now it feels as though you’ve lost yourself in the relationship.

Codependency has hijacked what was once a passionate, interconnected bond.

Cultural traditions, expectations, social pressures, and trauma (personal + intergenerational + ancestral) are burdening your relationship.

Maybe there’s interest in exploring non-monogamy/other relational structures and you’d like support doing so while also honoring your current dynamic.

You’re embarking on a new journey together (e.g., engagement, marriage, family expansion, sexuality/gender transitions, career changes) and would like support doing so as a solid unit.

Perhaps you’re tired of failed first dates on repeat and slugging it through the dating trenches.

Perhaps you’d like support shifting that situationship into a healthy relationship.

If you identify with any of the above, know that you are not alone. Occasional disconnect, conflict, and challenges are common and expected in relationships. Though, feeling stuck in frustrating, disconnected, or unhealthy cycles is typically a signal that your relationship could benefit from some support.

You can have a healthy, satisfying, interconnected relationship.

Couples therapy can help.

In addition to providing specialized support to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, first-generation & interracial relationships, I am honored to use an evidence-based approach to cultivate space for relationships to heal:

With a focus and foundation that is somatic-based and rooted in attachment and trauma, I am trained to utilize Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Gottman Method and EMDR to facilitate creating deep relational change that lasts. We’ll collaboratively explore and unlearn unhealthy dynamics. I’ll work with you to deepen intimacy and restore connection. We’ll understand your relational ‘dance’ and how aspects of personal blueprints work in opposition to the healthy co-created life you desire and deserve. We’ll learn that it’s possible to move forward from betrayal (if you desire) and tailor repair to your individual and relational needs. Using a compassionate and directive approach, I’ll be your guide in building adaptive behaviors and practical skills to navigate conflict and resolve that argument on repeat - finally.

We’ll work to improve your communication so that it is open, respectful, and authentic. We will explore your needs and desires so you can experience interconnectedness and release yourselves from codependency.  In our work together we’ll seek to understand the ways personal blueprints, cultural/societal norms, gender socialization, and intergenerational traumas inform and hinder your relational freedom

I’m here to meet you where you’re at and fully support you/your relationship’s unique healing journey.

To those relationships that may be considering uncoupling, separation, divorce, or transitioning out of a romantic dynamic:

RELATIONSHIPS DON’T ALWAYS UNFOLD THE WAY WE ONCE HOPED. SOMETIMES THEY END.

Endings can be messy and challenging, however they don’t have to be toxic or harmful - or done on your own. Sometimes healing is an individual journey rather than a relational one. There’s beauty in ending in a way that honors your truths and respects your individual needs and perspectives, even when it’s challenging. In life we rarely have the opportunity to experience endings in healthy ways that are intentional and on our terms. Endings can be thoughtful, gentle, loving, and involve genuine care - you, your partner, and your relationship deserve that.

I can co-create a space of respect, integrity, compassion and open, honest communication as you navigate the transition out of your relationship and into your separate lives.

If intentional uncoupling is where you’re at, I’m honored to support you in curating a healthy ending to your relationship’s story.
