Rates and FAQs

Therapy is an investment and now, more than ever is the time to invest in yourself, in your well-being, in your LIBERATION. If you don’t do it, then who will...and when?!

FAQs

  • No. Currently, my practice is not in network with any insurance company. Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible to receive reimbursement for your therapy sessions. As an out-of-network provider, I can provide a monthly statement (aka ‘superbill’) that you can present to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Using a superbill means that you will be responsible for paying the full rate when the session occurs and a portion of that rate will be reimbursed to you by your insurance company.

  • Be empowered and ask questions! The squeaky wheel gets the grease. You’ve got this! Here are some questions to ask when reaching out to your insurance provider:

    • Does my insurance plan cover out-of-network mental health providers?

      • If yes, what is the copay and coverage amount per therapy session?

    • Is pre-approval required for therapy to be covered?

      • If yes, what is the process and steps to take for approval?

    • What is my out-of-network deductible? Has it been met?

    • What is the number of therapy sessions covered per year?

    • What is the process to submit superbills for reimbursement?

  • A negotiable sliding scale rate may be available upon request for some folx.

I’m aware that without the use of insurance, therapy is often not an option for many folx within our communities. Let’s have open dialogue about your financial and therapy needs.  If a sliding scale rate isn’t an option for us to work together, I am happy to refer you to other options that may be more financially feasible. Otherwise, your best bet is to contact your insurance provider for a list of in-network therapists.

  • In support of your immigration journey, sliding scale rates and payment plan options are available. For an additional fee, expedited reports and court appearances as an expert witness may also be available.
