The most important and often complex relationship is the one with yourself.
Others see you as hardworking, strong, thoughtful, reliable. Yet internally and no matter how hard you try you feel exhausted, like you’re failing, missing something, or that you’re the problem. You constantly consider others, yet don’t know where to start when it comes prioritizing your needs and self. You feel on edge and unsettled in your body. Deep down you feel disconnected, misunderstood or unseen by others. You feel unfulfilled or unworthy.
You’ve existed in the ‘in between’ and code-switched so much and for so long, you’ve lost connection to yourself, purpose and power. You feel insecure about your identity because of conflicting cultural, personal and societal expectations. Perhaps you’re a high achieving professional or entrepreneur on your grind, but it feels as though life is grinding away at you. You feel unsure of who you really are or like an imposter and fear that folx would leave if they truly knew you.
You’re noticing the way waves of trauma - childhood, cultural, intergenerational, ancestral - erodes life. Anxiety is often paralyzing and those dark moments feel never-ending, leaving you feeling hopeless, ashamed, spiraling, and alone. Relationships end and you’re left feeling used, resentful, confused. Maybe things feel unbearably uncertain as you navigate dating, job changes, marriage, parenting, divorce, or loss. Or maybe you’re unclear about what’s happening, but you are certain that it’s time for a change…
